Is the planet going crazy? Or is it just me? When I went to New Zealand for a few months' leave, I worked on organic farms — you wouldn't believe how much I learned about life, the real thing. I also got lost in its spectacular mountains, camping in the open air and soaking up incredibly positive energy. But all good things come to an end... or maybe not?
I returned to my job as an international tax consultant in Luxembourg (that small country in the heart of Europe, a founding member of the EU). Back at the office, all I saw was plastic — and believe me, you end up obsessing over it. In this "let's save the planet" mood, I wanted to contribute in some way, so I started looking for stylish, sustainable clothes to wear to the office. What I couldn't find were elegant, eco-friendly shoes. They simply didn't exist. And that's how Momoc was born.
With the terrifying UN statistic that only 9% of the world's plastic is actually recycled, Momoc had to do something. That's why Momoc shoes are more than just beautiful shoes — some customers have even called them pieces of art! Our goal is to care for the planet. Most of the materials we use are recycled and eco-friendly, and we manufacture according to demand. You can't imagine the amount of waste we've prevented from being thrown away...
From the very beginning, I knew Momoc shoes had to be made in Spain — specifically in the Elda area (Alicante). It's our way of supporting the local economy and ensuring Spanish craftsmanship doesn't disappear.

I'll admit that starting a business alone is absolutely terrifying, but here we still are, since 2017 when I launched the brand. Our daily goal is to keep improving — which is why your opinion matters so much to us.
