Wherever your Momoc takes you: Dog Friendly places

Donde te lleven tus Momoc: locales Dog Friendly

Our affinity with Dog Friendly establishments has to do with our love of dogs, of course, but it goes much further. The underlying theme is a shared philosophy of inclusive living that sees the planet as a place for all species. And this perspective extends to cities. What are cities like that accommodate all people and species that coexist in harmony? Without a doubt, they are much more sustainable.

We want to share A Day with Your Dog with you. We know how hard it is to be apart from our furry friends, and businesses know this too. That's why more and more establishments are joining the Dog Friendly movement, and we're delighted! We traveled to Madrid and visited several Dog Friendly places, but go ahead and look for these places, which are also very cool, in your city: Dog Friendly places in Spain .

Having breakfast Little coffee

This cozy spot is located in Lavapiés (C/ Sombrerete 20). Besides transporting you back in time and being eco-friendly (you can use the leftover coffee maker for your garden; you'll find it in the bin at the entrance), you can enjoy a delicious coffee or tea while reading a book with your dog. Cafelito has a bookcase where you can choose a new adventure and leave one you loved for someone else to enjoy. They also have delicious homemade cakes, and if you prefer savory breakfast, order a wild toast!

Walk to the Retiro Park

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we take a 20-minute walk to Retiro Park. We find the "dog zone" where your dog can make friends and play freely. When he's had enough, sign up for a Free guided tour , you will discover the secrets of the park, little known to many people.

Aperitif Time!

You have the option of either staying at one of the park's terraces or discovering the kitsch and traditional tavern Verbena Bar (C/ Velarde 24) a 20-minute walk from the Retiro Park (or by metro, Tribunal, or Bilbao). Enjoy a good beer and some amazing croquettes or a freshly made tortilla pincho. The decor is authentic, and you can enjoy their selection of craft beers. Note: if you fall in love, you can also celebrate your birthday there.

We have worked up an appetite for food

He is waiting for us Cookie Bar (C/ Corredera Baja de San Pablo 31) an 8-minute walk away, a restaurant decorated with wood and white brick, where you'll feel right at home. We recommend the breaded eggplant to start, stuffed mushrooms, and to finish, a warm apple and puff pastry tart with cookie ice cream. Delicious!

Visit the pop art gallery

While we digest, we take a 2-minute walk to the pop art gallery, The Lunchbox (Calle del Pez, 7), known for its pop surrealism, lowbrow, urban art, illustration, and graphic design. Visit to brighten your eyes and buy a souvenir to brighten up your wall at home.

Tea Time with the Arce Sisters

At C/ Marqués de Monasterio 6, a 14-minute walk away, delicious homemade pastries await us. The place is run by two sisters who decided to open it very recently out of their passion for delicious and healthy food. Their strawberry and buckwheat muffins are exquisite, and equally irresistible are the brioche dough buns with walnuts, butter, brown sugar, and a bit of cinnamon. All delicious and hard to choose. The decor is simple and pleasant, making for a good time.

We continue our walk through the central streets of Madrid, discovering new places, buildings, and establishments, always asking if they are dog-friendly. In our ideal world, we can walk our dogs freely and enter any establishment.

Cocktail Afternoon in 1862 Dry Bar

Head to Casablanca at 27 C/ del Pez, a 15-minute walk away. Indulge in a cocktail from their signature menu. The delicious flavors and decor immerse you in a movie-like atmosphere, right at Rick's Café!

If you and your dog still have energy, The Glory

A 3-minute walk (C/ del Noviciado 2) will make you feel like you're at your grandmother's house. Any of the homemade dishes are delicious, the molletes are famous, and one of their delicious starters is the cream of peppers and walnuts with cumin, paprika from La Vera, and olive oil.

And all this fantastic day with any of your Momoc that you know will always accompany you and are up to par with any place you visit.

Finally, if you feel like visiting a beautiful town in Spain ( Beautiful Towns of Spain ), we recommend Chinchón and its hotel La Casa del Hortelano is dog-friendly, a 1-minute walk from Chinchón's main square. Plus, you can enjoy lovely walks through olive groves and fields to take your dog on.
