Dear friend:
This is a humble cry from the bottom of my heart, and it is directed to you.
It's quite possible that the same thing will happen to you as it did to me. You turn on the news and you find news like this: By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans. or what the industry of fast fashion is creating an environmental crisis . Then, that mixture of feelings—fear, rage, and helplessness—arises, bringing tears to your eyes. Then, you look at the young children around you and ask yourself: "What planet are we going to leave you? What kind of world are you going to live in? Will you be able to enjoy an afternoon in the countryside when you're older, or will they never even exist?" I don't know about you, but I get goosebumps every time I think of those things.
However, I'm not in front of my computer to increase your discomfort. On the contrary. If I'm here it's to tell you that You can help stop this situation ; to remind you that the environment and all the inhabitants of this planet—starting with your children, your nephews, or those children around you—need you.
I know, I know. Surely, reading this, you've thought: "But what do you want me to do? The problem is huge, and I'm just a mere mortal. I have no power to change anything." Well, let me tell you, you're wrong. To say the least, There's a small part of the world you can change . Do you know which one? Yourself! Your daily actions, your purchases, what you consume… depend exclusively on you and have a huge environmental impact.
Just stop and think for a moment about what you've done today. Have you consumed products wrapped in plastic or made of plastic? Have you worn clothes that Fast fashion ? Have you traveled to work using sustainable transportation or your own car? In other words, have you harmed nature in any way today? Well, multiply that impact by seven billion people, and you'll realize why the environment is going through this situation.
But can I tell you something else? It's not just possible to multiply the damage we cause to the planet. We can do the same with effort and good attitudes . Can you imagine if no one ever bought a plastic bag again? Or if each of us went to the supermarket with our own packaging and used it over and over again? What would a world be like if we stopped wasting water, energy, and raw materials?
Would you like to live in that world? Well, then, don't forget it.
The health of nature depends on you!
Building a more sustainable world is in your hands!
