It is no secret that animals suffer intolerable abuse and Primates are unfortunately no exception. These animals face threats as severe as habitat destruction, poaching, and trafficking. And now they have to deal with a very different one: the cold. The difference, however, is that this time, helping to prevent this from happening is within our reach.

Last year we created a campaign in collaboration with the center Rainfer to sponsor a primate for every pair of Momocs purchased. This year, we want to help with what they need most right now: warmth.

“Temperatures at Rainfer have already started to drop, and at night we can reach as low as 2°C (although in the middle of winter we can reach as low as -12°C). Our rescued pets are very sensitive to low temperatures due to their lack of natural adaptation, the physical problems they suffer from the abuse they have suffered, or their advanced ages (…) We need to keep their bedrooms warm so that their lives are not in danger” ( Rainfer ).

Rainfer cannot afford the extra costs this entails, but We trust that the Momoc community will. Therefore, for every pair of shoes you buy during the month of December, we will donate a few degrees to the center. The more shoes we have, the more temperatures we can donate, and the warmer and happier they will be.
